Valhalla Divers – Course Descriptions & Training Locations
Open Water Diver
Duration: 3 Days
Level: Beginner
Certification Agency: PADI or SDI
Overview: Start your scuba journey with the most popular entry-level certification. Learn the skills and knowledge needed to dive safely and independently up to 60 ft (18 m).
Training Locations:
- Day 1 – Confined Water Training: Private pool session (Jupiter/West Palm area)
- Day 2 – Shore Diving: Skill dives at the Blue Heron Bridge (Phil Foster Park – Riviera Beach)
- Day 3 – Boat Training Dives: Guided dives on a Serving All of Southern Florida – Mobile Dive Operations reef or wreck via local charter
Includes: Rental gear, instructor time, in-water training, and certification card

Advanced Open Water Diver:
Duration: 3 Days
Level: Intermediate
Certification Agency: PADI or SDI
Overview: Take your diving to the next level with 5 Adventure Dives designed to sharpen your skills, extend your depth, and introduce you to specialty diving.
Training Locations:
- Day 1 – Blue Heron Bridge: Peak Performance Buoyancy, Navigation
- Day 2 – Boat Dives: Deep Dive & Drift Dive
- Day 3 – Boat Dives: Choose from Wreck, Night (if sunset-scheduled), Fish ID, or others

Rescue Diver + Emergency First Response (EFR)
Duration: 3 Days
Level: Advanced
Certification Agency: PADI or SDI
Overview:This course teaches critical rescue skills, emergency management, and diver stress recognition — building true confidence and preparedness underwater.
Training Locations:
- Day 1 – Classroom & Pool Session: Rescue scenarios, EFR (CPR/First Aid) in Jupiter area
- Day 2 – Shore Rescue Dives: Realistic practice scenarios at the Blue Heron Bridge
- Day 3 – Boat-based Rescue & Search Training: Emergency planning, unresponsive diver drills
Includes: All rescue gear, oxygen kit familiarization, and EFR certification
One of the most rewarding courses you’ll ever take — and a must-have for all serious divers.
Divemaster (DM)
Duration: Case-by-case basis (2–4 weeks typical)
Level: Professional
Certification Agency: PADI or SDI
Overview:This is your first step into the professional dive world. DM training deveops leadership, safety management, and instructional support skills —prepping you to guide dives and assist on courses.
Training Locations:
- Combination of pool, shore (Blue Heron Bridge), and boat training
- Assistant teaching on real classes
- Dive site briefings, mapping, and gear logistics
Custom Scheduling: Based on your availability and existing dive experience. Our DM candidates train in real-world scenarios, assisting real students. You’ll earn it, like a pro should.

PADI ReActivate™ Program
Duration: 1 Day + Online Module For PADI-Certified Divers Only
Overview: Officially update your PADI Open Water Diver card and fresh your skills and divetheory. ReActivate includes digital learning + in-watertraining with a Valhalla instructor and provides a new certification date on your card.
Includes:
- ReActivate eLearning
- Pool and/or open water session (location varies)
- Updated PADI card mailed upon completion
Ideal if you plan to travel, book charters, or take advanced training.
Spearfishing
Duration: 1–2 Days
Overview: Designed for certified divers, this course teaches responsible, ethical, and effective spearfishing techniques in Florida waters. Learn gear setup, target species, legal considerations, and shot placement — with practice on real dives.
